International Admissions

Students and faculty from almost every continent in the world are involved in our programs at the School of Graduate and Continuing Studies. Our online, asynchronous delivery eliminates the challenges of time zones and borders, and we understand the unique needs of international students.

As long as you have an acceptable TOEFL score, official school transcripts indicating that you've completed the equivalent of a US bachelor's degree (with the GPA requirements for your specific program) and complete the steps outlined in the admissions process, your completed Application Package will be reviewed by our Admissions Department.

For the admissions requirements specific to your program of choice, please visit the links below:

To apply for Admission with Norwich's School of Graduate and Continuing Studies:
  • Conduct a personal telephone interview with an Enrollment Advisor.
All applicants are required to complete a telephone interview. This will give you an opportunity to ask questions about Norwich University's School of Graduate and Continuing Studies, and the particular program that you are interested in. This interview will also help determine if you have the necessary credentials to enroll in your chosen program before you initiate any other items required to complete the application process.

  • Complete Application for Admission.
Upon completion of your telephone interview, you can complete the Application Form with your Enrollment Advisor. There is a $50, non-refundable application fee, which must be paid in US dollars. Your Advisor will also outline the steps required to complete you Application package.
International applicants follow the same admission process as all other applicants to Norwich University. However, to ensure that all students are assessed on an equal basis, international students are required to provide the following additional information:
  • Submit an English proficiency assessment.
If your first language is not English (or if you graduated from a non-English speaking school), you will need to provide proof of English proficiency before you can be considered for admission. • Submit official school documentation.
Applicants must submit a course-by-course evaluation of official transcripts for all post-secondary institutions contributing to your degree, which are not from the United States (this includes any credits given for military service or training). These documents should be sent to Norwich University directly from one of the two evaluation services outlined below:

Any college/university credits earned for your undergraduate degree must be evaluated by sending:
      • Applicants must submit the transcripts where they earned their degree, as well as any additional transcripts with credits transferred into the final school from which the degree was earned. While final transcript listings include transferred credits, we require the original documentation for these credits. This includes any credits given for military service or training. Note: this is different from a WES evaluation in that AACRAO accepts photocopies.
      • If the transcripts are not in English, then a translation of the transcript must be provided.
      • Evaluation must be a course by course basis, and not a document-by-document. (statement of comparability)
