Message from the Dean
Greetings from Norwich University in the beautiful mountains of Vermont! I am pleased that you are considering an important step toward joining the Norwich family. You have made a wise choice in selecting Norwich University.
Your success is our goal. We work diligently to help you succeed in many ways, and this is why Norwich University stands apart from the crowd. Our faculty are among the best in their fields, and will personally work with you in challenging and rewarding seminars. Our programs are designed to be experiential and relevant, and our faculty are well situated to mentor and bring out the best in you.
The support you will receive at Norwich University is unparalleled. You will be joining one of the oldest institutions of higher education in the United States, founded in 1819 on a solid core of values and educational philosophy that helped shape our great nation; a core that remains as relevant today as it was so many years ago. While our interaction will be primarily in the virtual world during your studies, rest assured that there is a full array of support staff on our wonderful and historic campus: library staff, information technology department, and program support staff.
Our performance speaks for itself. I have been a faculty member at Norwich for almost two decades and have taught for a quarter century, and the vitality and energy of our graduate community is exemplary. I can think of nowhere else I would like to be, and I'm sure you will agree. A current graduate student visited campus recently and wrote to his fellow students that Norwich was the "real deal." At Norwich University, we live our values and our promise.
